About the
Faith & Resistance
Conference

Faith & Resistance is a gathering for people who sense that something in our world (and in ourselves) is deeply out of balance. Our politics, our spirituality, and our ways of relating are often shaped by fear, domination, and disconnection. This conference is a space to name those forces honestly and to dream and practice another way.

We believe that faith, at its best, is not passive belief but courageous action: the holy work of resisting what harms and creating what heals. Together we’ll explore how communities of faith can become communities of resistance: places that nurture liberation, healing, and wholeness for all people.

Through story, song, conversation, and practice, Faith & Resistance will equip participants to:

Reimagine spiritual life as a source of courage and justice.

  • Name the systems and stories that keep us bound.

  • Cultivate personal and communal practices of healing.

  • Build solidarity across differences toward a more liberated future.

This is a call to deepen our faith by resisting despair, violence, and apathy and to live into the promise of the beloved community.

Faith & Resistance is a conference hosted by Meetinghouse Church in Edina, Minnesota.
